Rev Melanie Greenall
Melanie is our acting Superintendent Minister and also minister for Bracebridge Heath, Navenby and Washingborough Methodist Churches.
Before joining Lincoln South Melanie worked as an NHS pharmacist in Preston, Manchester and Kirkham for 26 years. She’s a Yorkshire lass by birth but has spent most of her life in the large Lancashire village of Freckleton.
Melanie was christened in the Congregational church but has attended her local Methodist church for most of her life, becoming a local preacher and also acting as senior church steward in her home church. She spent 2 years as lay representative on the circuit leadership team.
After receiving a call to ordained ministry Melanie trained at the Wesley Study Centre, Durham, graduating in 2014. She was ordained at the Methodist Conference in London in July 2016.
Some might call Melanie a ‘whovian’ or a ‘trekkie’ as she loves science fiction, as well as music of pretty much all genres, going to the cinema and having coffee or meals out.
In 2013 Melanie spent 10 days at the Tamil Nadu Seminary in Southern India and milked a very patient cow in Thirsk – it gave a whole new meaning to hands on ministry!
